The organization could and should be a really fun place to work. Unfortunately the company still is very set in their ways with outdated processes and policies that won’t be changed anytime soon. The fact that there is zero maternity leave should speak to just how old school the company is. The PTO policy also is by far the worst I’ve ever seen in an organization. You don’t receive any PTO for 6 months. The dress code is strict and business professional and there is very little autonomy or flexibility around work schedules, which a lot of the teams already work such crazy hours due to game responsibilities. There is such a lack of accountability and collaboration in departments. Company wide updates are stuffy and you’ll leave uninspired. Any sort of team builders, holiday parties, or celebrations are awkward and not fun. If culture is important to you be aware that although the company prides themselves with “family” values no one really even gets to know one another and communication is lacking in so many ways. If you’re complacent and set in your ways this could be the place for you. If you’re young, passionate and driven look elsewhere because there is very little career progression and you’ll be unhappy and your salary will likely be more than double working in any other industry.
