Vantaggi
In the beginning there was good pay and decent jobs. The jobs lasted 3-4 weeks and we were paid on a salary plus day rate. Unfortunately the good times did not last.
Svantaggi
Management switched us to hourly pay, but would intentionally send us to jobs where we started any day but Monday, so we wouldn't get our full pay equivalent to the previous salary plus day rate. -Management does not care one bit about employees, field hands specifically, everyone is expendable. -As the oil market crashed, management laid off 55% of the employees with less than 2 days notice, they were the fortunate ones. -Those of us that stayed received multiple pay-cuts with less than one week's notice, always with the promise that pay would soon return to normal. -Once the layoffs occurred, those of us that stayed had to work extremely long hours and jobs and only received minimal pay and time off. -The company kept some decent day MWDs, but mostly inadequate night MWDs, furthering the burden on day hands to work longer hours to correct their mistakes, while receiving no overtime to protect the company's image.
