This place is utter chaos. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. Upper management doesn’t understand how long it takes you to do certain tasks so your time isn’t scheduled properly meaning extremely unrealistic deadlines. But the real issue at PYR is the woman in charge. If you are not the Managing Principal’s image of a what a designer should be, whatever that is, I guess a spitting image of herself, she subtly shows you she does not approve of you by isolating you, takes away your projects, basically acts like you don’t exist and you have to go to therapy to realize it’s not you, it’s her. The gaslighting is insane. It’s such a shame because the projects are interesting, and most of the people there are lovely and talented, but being employed here destroyed my mental health. I’d advise anyone thinking about taking a job here to think twice about it.
