Vantaggi
Small team of friendly, hard working people. Flexible schedule and tons of autonomy in your role. Great for someone who thrives working independently and who doesn't need or want a lot of oversight. You get to learn about some pretty cool start-ups. Good for someone with sales experience who is looking to break into recruitment, but who doesn't mind teaching themselves and taking more responsibility for their own training and development. Comp/benefits are actually quite fair considering this is a start-up.
Svantaggi
Little to no performance management, which isn't surprising in the start-up world but can be frustrating since most new hires don't have a lot of recruitment experience to begin with. This could also cause issues down the road if management wants to terminate an employee for poor performance but has no documentation to back them up. The workload fluctuates wildly. I get it, start-up culture, but when things are too busy it can burn you out really quickly and you're expected to reach out for help yourself. Job security is low. There's a temporary layoff clause in the employment contract, which again isn't surprising considering the nature of the business but something potential employees should be aware of if they're looking for/need a secure paycheque. Be aware there's been high turnover, which is a symptom that something internally isn't working.
