Owned by a private equity firm with only one goal in mind - maximize profit, whether through IPO, sale to a competitor, or other means that consider the customer second, and employees dead last. Recent cost cutting activities include: 1) Fire 10% of the Development department 2) Cut all professional services staff salaries by 20% 3) Outsource the most important project in the company's history to Russia 4) No raises in 2016 for practically any employee, even those exceeding expectations 5) Move toward total compensation plan that provides for minuscule growth in base salary in favor of increasing bonus potential. (A bonus you won't receive because the business is mismanaged) 6) Various other activities indicative of the desire to sell out and cash in soon Extravagant waste among Director, VP, and C level executives - most of whom are relatively new, from Califorinia or other remote locations, and do not understand the business, the product, the customers, or the culture. The product itself is extremely buggy and full of gaps, and customers are more angry than at any time prior as they've figured out that Plex has outsourced quality control to the customer, has no executable roadmap, and doesn't really care about them once they're live. This, along with mismanagement and disregard for employees creates a very stressful environment.
