Vantaggi
- Lots of opportunities to learn about their tech stack and tackle a variety of problems - Colleagues are willing and helpful to one another - Many colleagues are from a wide variety of backgrounds which often makes for some interesting and more inclusive conversations - Get to work with interesting technology - Flexible workload (You can choose to go above and beyond or just be average, you'll get the same pay anyway) - Managers are generally understanding and provide some good feedback
Svantaggi
- Doesn't reward extraordinary contributions besides occasional empty recognitions for tasks that you doing another person's job - Fails to acknowledge and compensate for additional responsibilities taken up during period of employment. - Unless you gets promoted, no one gets any pay increments (not even increments for keeping up with inflation) and many people have been unhappy about it. - Very few have stayed with the company for more than 1 year, mainly because they've found better opportunities elsewhere - Loves to kick employees out on the day that they resign with no handovers - Very immature processes if any which form a major issue when a subject matter expert quits with no documentation and handovers - Culture is slowly diluting and dying away with ego creeping in the gate, especially in upper management
