Managers are deeply committed to development, providing consistent feedback and guidance throughout the internship. As a boutique firm, it presents unique opportunities for leadership, allowing interns to take ownership of projects and actively shape their experiences by pursuing areas they’re passionate about. The team-oriented nature of problem-solving fosters a strong sense of collaboration, making it an excellent environment for my first exposure to consulting. Along with this, being a firm based in London, there are potential opportunities for international project exposure and travel if that is of interest. Additionally, I felt I was able to develop develop key skills essential for strategy consulting, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, storyline building, hypothesis-driven problem-solving, and 80/20 desk research.

As a small office, it’s important to be aware of the limited size and scope, though the culture in the New York office remains strong and supportive. Teams are often also split between New York and London where the firm is based. For those with specific industry interests, like energy or climate, the firm’s exposure in those areas may feel limited.
