Staff are overworked & management don’t care - Recensione dipendente - Administrator presso Pobal

Staff are extremely over working particularly grade 1s and 2s as they are seen as nobody’s. who have to do their own work (which is a lot of work) and do the work that higher grades don’t want to do, feel they are too good to do it or don’t know how to do something as basic as pivot table of excel. Staff recently have been moved into new units and new ways of working and we have been told so many times that’s it’s for the better. Yet teams have been stripped back to the bare bare bare minimum yet the work is piling up. Staff havnt been trained into new roles but are expected to get the work completed within the same time as the previous team did. The same people are being asked to take on tasks they shouldn’t had there is no cover or admin support in other teams. Staff have zero direction from management and when asked it’s always “we need to road map this” yet still continued to put staff into new roles without this special map. Management have now started ignoring emails from staff begging for help with their workload and keep referring to budget that doesn’t even reflect the new structure but then when challenged on a budget they say “this isn’t meant to be followed exactly.” The place is sinking and the organisations and grantees are beginning to feel this. Application a group submitted on the 26 Jan still hasn’t been touched which is effecting them starting a project. Grantees and staff are being effected by decisions that management made and now have turned there backs and are allowing the units to sink. More and more staff are aggravated & getting signed off with stress than I have ever seen in my 5 years here.
