The facade was very team oriented. Free coffee, filtered water, ping pong table. Hybrid work schedule, but really only wanted people in the office because it was desolate.

The facade of “great people” was just that, a facade. Ultimately upper management was unorganized and did not understand work/life balance, even though they had prided themselves on it as being a “perk”. They made poor business decisions with hiring people without really thinking thoroughly. The CEO was overworking staff members, and forcing people out of the company by burning them out. The CEO’s expectations of working long hours trickled down to other senior management members and those expectations consequentially made the place unbearable to work for. They prided themselves as a boutique consulting agency, but did not value differing opinions. It was the high way or no way at this place. Not open to new ideas of changing structural inefficiencies.
