- Terrible CEO who micromanages every little detail - Hipster culture always preaching mindfulness and meditation and encourages it onto employees (stop wasting my time and let me do my work) - No vision, company is going nowhere (12 years and the company is still a tiny startup...) - They let go a bunch of full-timers and replaced them with co-ops and part time sales - No room for growth, expect to be at the same position til you get fired or quit

Since the business introduced a 4-day work week and increased its coop student hiring, we have not had any turnover of software engineers, which makes me question the validity of this review. Assuming for a minute that this is a valid review, then it's clear that you did not agree with the culture, management or strategy for the business. You have every right to make your own choices and I am thankful that you chose to not continue to work somewhere you do not want to be. For candidates who are interested to learn more about Polar's culture and leadership, I encourage you to speak with our team directly. Our results speak for themselves: -business grew 60% last year and will do the same this year -highly profitable, with all full-time team members receiving a profit share bonus -4-day work week, focus on wellness+balance, meeting-light culture -7.5 years is the average tenure for our team Our team is ever changing, and this does mean at times full-time roles are changed. Co-op students are an important part of our team, but they do not replace our full-time members. We have been growing both our full-time and co-op team and have plans to continue to do so. Polar is a company full of opportunities, as our team continues to grow, so do our employees. Growth, however, comes from taking initiative and seeking out opportunities. Terrible company. 7 founders in a 20 - 30 people company with a couple old timers. It's a zombie company that breaks even. Do join if you want a year of experience and move on or something, but definitely don't waste your time there for too long.

Let's start with the facts: -our business grew 60% last year, is on pace to do the same and is highly profitable (all of our full-time team participate in a profit share plan) -over 250 clients in 30+ countries delivered over 12,000 ad campaigns using Polar's software last year, adoption has grown 100% YoY -the average tenure for people working at the company is 7.5 years (which is rare for any tech company) I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your time at the company.
