Vantaggi

You'll never be bored, but it's because you'll be doing 3 jobs.

Svantaggi

-You'll be painfully underpaid and they'll tell you you're making what you deserve. -You'll be expected to take on more work than you feasibly can, and if you complain about it, they'll give you a warning on your file -You won't receive promised compensation -They can't keep higher ups - 5 CEO's in as many years -There is absolutely no reporting structure. -If you're not down for forced socialization, you won't succeed.

Vantaggi

The actual people doing the work were great and were highly passionate about the brand. I learned how not to run a company after this experience.

Svantaggi

This is for Polaroid's Instant Film division. The CEO is not Mary L. Jeffries (not sure why that's listed here, she seems to have left the company in 2015). Where do I start - I still have anxiety about thinking about this place. The root of the (many issues) stems from the C-level executives that are painfully out of touch with everyone who works there. It's very top-heavy with executive after executive being hired at an inflated salary while underpaid people actually doing the work are quitting or getting pushed out due to the toxic environment. I was at Polaroid for 3 years and had 7 bosses in total - good stuff! Nothing weird to see there. D&I at Polaroid is a joke. The entire executive team, save for a few token women who were hired to put some women on the leadership team after complaints, are mainly tone-deaf white men who routinely gaslit women in the company to be 'more professional' while promoting their male buddies into executive roles. Polaroid happens to be doing great because of industry trends re: instant photography but there is no long-term strategy here. Buy the product, it's a beautiful art form but for the love of god, if you love the brand - don't work here.
