Cruel and heartless culture - layoffs during a Pandemic for reasons that are nothing to do with the pandemic - as stated by management. Governments doing everything to support companies to keep people in work or being paid. Poly decides it is more important to feed the greedy rich shareholders. And that’s after Covid 19 has increased demand for all remote working UC tools and therefore a rise in short term revenue forecast. Old school management, many are lost without a process to follow. Everything is slow and complex. They like to hire people to manage a process rather than focus on selling to customers. First question is always ‘what’s the process’. Middle management focused on saving themselves, not on supporting staff. The acquisition put them into too much debt to handle with mediocre self centred leadership team. According to one recent financial measure, company is in financial distress, so that’s the no. 1 reason to keep well away unless you are desperate for employment.

I can see you have some strong opinions and appreciate that this is your individual experience and I'm truly disappointed you feel this way. While I can't comment on your experiences and perceptions, I can comment on our culture. In my experience, it has been far, far from cruel and heartless. We moved quickly to require all employees who could work from home to do so in the face of COVID-19 in order to stay safely at home. We are providing a myriad of resources to employees about their mental and physical wellbeing during this time. We communicate frequently with updates to our employees to provide information during this unprecedented time. As with any company, there is a strong need for balance in order to satisfy ALL stakeholders equally: employees, customers, partners, and shareholders. That does sometimes mean one of those stakeholder groups will have a different point of view on a decision that has been made as it is incredibly difficult to find the perfect balance.
