We've gone from experienced sales managers to 'team leads' who only got promoted because they threatened to quit or demanded more money. One on ones feel like talking to someone checking their Instagram they're so busy with Slack they barely look up. And the quotas? They change them mid-quarter if they think the team will hit them. Pretty clear they don't want anyone hitting them. Sure, the job market is tough right now, and they know it using it as leverage to keep people in line. The saddest part? Our C-suite completely fumbled our head start in the market, but instead of owning it, they point fingers at sales. Would I work here again? Unfortunately not. The whole place has become weirdly anti-sales, more obsessed with finding ways not to pay OTE than actually growing revenue.
