Vantaggi
-The people are what make PopSockets so great. I worked alongside many talented people. I suspect, however, that the current climate will bring turnover in the upcoming months. -The headquarters is beautiful with plenty of natural lighting and conference room space - and dog friendly to boot
Svantaggi
-The company recently went through a round of layoffs that impacted about 65 employees with no warning or notice. Luckily PopSockets could use COVID-19 as an excuse, when in reality the company is struggling financially (money has and continues to be spent foolishly) -Employees who were not laid off took 20% decreases to their salaries and now most are vastly underpaid -Majority of the perks that are listed on the website are no longer offered: 3% 401k contribution, wellness stipend, recognition program- all have gone away due to the financial struggles mentioned above -Diversity is lacking on the leadership team. -Nepotism is a problem (as mentioned in other reviews) -A group of individuals were "promoted" one week before the layoffs with no pay to follow their increased job responsibilities. Then a week later some of the promoted individuals were laid off and the others received salary reductions. This is poor form -There are no new ideas, no new successful products. Everything since the original Popgrip has been a flop -It's apparent that the CEO doesn't trust employees which has caused various issues (firings, lack of innovation, tension, fear, the list goes on)
