Vantaggi
Work-life balance was decent and met some nice folks.
Svantaggi
The pay is ridiculously low. I received a raise ONCE in the two years I worked there - it was only an extra $0.30 per hour. The "cost of living adjustment" calculator was incredibly inaccurate. They've since closed the WA and CA branches as wages are too expensive, but it's wild to see folks being flown out to various places for "fun" events. While my own manager was fine, their manager and other higher-ups weren't so great. Once I left, I became disillusioned to some peoples' management styles at Populus Group - they didn't receive their roles from merit or ability, but connections and privilege. Some of their diversity claims, while they tried, were still watered down. Conversations about inequality and inequity were surface-level and we didn't see any changes actually happen - it was like checking the "we mentioned it" box and not really learning beyond. The employees that get rewarded are the ones with certain energies that match leadership - outgoing, extroverted, loud. Most of the time, they fit a certain stereotype.
