I don't know what else to say, the headline says everything. Over the course of a year, I went through 30+ interviews; I only met with a handful of companies who I could see 'walked the walk,' Postlight being one of these. I've found that my coworkers are genuinely some of the most passionate AND content engineers/designers/product people that I've seen in the space, I think that says something about the company. I came onboard after the C-Suite change, so I have no idea what it was like when Paul and Rich were head of the ship but Gina and Chris have been great since I onboarded!

One of the trade-offs of the great culture and interesting clients is that you may find a mismatch between the compensation for an agency software engineer and the salary of a startup/FAANG software engineer. To be completely candid, I found roughly $5,000-$12,500 discrepancies between the offers I had received at the time and Postlight's. Personally, I found that between the salary, suite of benefits, the WLB, and the interesting potential projects to be more than worth the concession. It's all about priorities, so be mindful of that. Technically, it is consulting. You might find that the clear-cut paths/roles to be different from the lack of hierarchy commonly associated with the fast-paced tech industry. To be clear, it is not a strictly enforced metric, but there are peer reviews, goals to meet, among several other tracks to merit a promotion; your code may not be enough, like it could be at other shops.
