Vantaggi
A shell of its former self. It used to be a good company, full of smart, hard-working people. Very nice, friendly people and very cooperative. We used to have decent perks, and it’s still mostly remote. If it were based only in Montreal I’d give it 4 stars. People here mostly try to stay human.
Svantaggi
The new CEO is completely out of her depth. She’s been around for a couple of years now but the only thing she does well is make herself hated by everyone. The morale is completely down, our employee survey results are abysmal and she rules with an iron fist trying to show her bosses how tough and competent she is. She comes from a different field and clearly doesn’t know how modern tech companies work. She’s turned us into a dinosaur-type of company, as hip as a 200-year old bank. Humans have no value anymore. You will be imposed upper management choices that make no sense for your team, you will be offered fewer and fewer perks at a salary well below market median, and you will be expected to shut your mouth. The Power Factors of 2026 has nothing to do with a modern, good-to-work-for company anymore. There’s no goodness left, except for the poor Montreal managers trying to stay human. Upper management is entirely toxic, and the CEO is lost. They fire people on a whim. I would not recommend working here, even though I've been with them for over 5 years and it used to be the best job I have had. We have no social events, no fun, catered events are some sad, cold sandwiches and if you want social activities you should organize them yourselves. The Christmas gift is a t-shirt if you’re lucky. Last year it was nothing. But I’m sure the CEO is very proud at how much money they’re saving making everyone miserable. If you want to work for a tech company of the 90s (and salaries to match), Power Factors is for you.
