Vantaggi
The only Pros I really gained while being employed at Prairie Dog was more knowledge in dog behavior, and the friendships I acquired with other staff members.
Svantaggi
There is no real advancement in employment. You're not paid nearly what you are worth, because caring for an excess amount of dogs on top of cleaning 5,000sq. ft. of facility nightly is A LOT of hard work. Kelly Norton doesn't appreciate a thing you do, although she will say 'thanks' in an "I-could-care-less" tone. She had at one time accused staff of stealing money from the till, when she was the one who was taking $20 here, $50 there. Working for Prairie Dog means you lie to clients about how their dog's day went. Kelly herself will tell you how hard your dog played! When really, your dog was kept in a kennel more than in a playroom. She'll also steal your money by tacking on extra charges for boarding stays, hoping that staff wouldn't catch it before checking out a client. The business is run by a money-hungry woman who just wants her name known; and doesn't know much about dogs or their behavior. If you really love your dogs, you'll spend your money elsewhere.
