Vantaggi

-Work is relatively easy -Virtually no pressure from management -Stress free if you keep your head down and accept status-quo -Great for people looking to do the bare minimum and finish out their final years before retirement -Job security

Svantaggi

-Management is aged in their managing style. Very status-quo, very "old-school"(you aren't meant to be happy at work because it is a job), very difficult to grow with and learn from -No assistance is offered at all to those seeking career growth and education. When looking for guidance was told to figure it out on my own (directly from leadership) -Leadership is very political, you MUST be well liked by lead machinists and supervisors to gain any type of opportunity here. Very biased -Management wants you standing in one spot 95% of the time which is very bad for your overall health -Very unstimulating and unfulfilling work(most machinists aren't rotated and end up running the same parts on the same machines for many many years at a time) -Too much emphasis (culturally and financially) is put on the white-collar side of this business. It seems as if they have completely forgotten about the backbone of their company : their machinists! -Wages lower than average in the location for blue collar workers(overheard from supervisors that this is their technique to gain more overtime from employees)

Thank you for your feedback. We always appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns of our employees. At Precipart, we use a skills matrix for machinists to promote continuous improvement in their skills and capabilities. We are currently updating this matrix and plan to communicate it in the coming months. This will help us assess and develop our machinists' skill sets, enabling them to operate multiple machines and equipment and grow their craft further. Our Head of Manufacturing strongly advocates for continuous improvement, cross-functional learning, and collaboration. If you feel limited by leads or supervisors, we offer alternative channels for internal communication (e.g., open door policy, suggestion box, team meetings, etc.). Our partnership with KKR encourages all employees to “think and act like an owner.” If you find it challenging to adopt this mindset, please contact Human Resources to share your recommendations on how we can better communicate this important initiative throughout the production area.
