Where do I even start? Biggest issue is I was never really trained. I have very little to no training and expected to work the systems perfectly / know exactly what needed to be done. I was often handed work and given a 5 minute tutorial about how it should go (often was not the case) and then had to figure it out on my own because barely anyone had knowledge of the subject in the first place. It could be easily solved with a training coordinator, but they like to resort to just throwing people into places and having super busy colleagues try to train you which doesn't work well.*** If it did, I wouldn't be writing this.*** The handwriting rate is roughly 80% compared to only 20% online work. Don't be fooled when they say its being transitioned, it is far from that. Maybe years even because they don't realize how understaffed the IT department is. There has been an alarming rate of covid cases at the work place, and there is no mask mandate. The company is a Pharma company that distributes single dose medicine that will be used in hospitals. Yet masks are no a priority when there were multiple cases in a month for employees that work with said medicine. Let alone most people are not vaccinated and don't care as long as the job gets done. The starting pay was not what I wanted. I asked for only a slightly higher pay and was rejected over and over. They don't care about how the rent prices have been affected by covid or anything. Individuality is slightly frowned upon by higher ups and that really doesn't make a work culture easy to feel safe in. When I was in the interview I requested a closed door office due to having a legal disability and was told that I could buy my own headphones to deal with it. Which last I checked, a company is required by state law to accommodate someone for a disability, but instead I was told to take it into my own hands. The company values money for the shareholders over anything, they dont care what the process is, how much work is put onto the employees or anything. If the way things keep going, more people will just quit and those same higherups will be stuck filling in those rolls that noone will want to fill without extra help.
