Terrible, Terrible, Culture - Recensione dipendente - Business Development presso Precision Proco Group

This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for. This was my first role within the "Print Industry" and fair to say it will be my last. From the outside Precision Proco looks like it's an amazing, forward thinking business, but please don't let that fool you. On the inside it's a totally different atmosphere and people are treated as just a number. They talk a lot around mental health and wellbeing of their employees, however, this couldn't be further from the truth. Other than Jon Bailey the CEO, none of the other members of the "Leadership Team" actually care about anything other than themselves and them getting one up on colleagues. The culture is one where no one has any loyalty and they will say and do anything to thrown negative attention on others, to keep the pressure off themselves. The "Leadership Team" have all been there many years and have become stale, but unfortunately the owners of the business can't see that they are the ones killing the business and preventing growth due to a lack of desire to want to change and move things forward. A good way to look at this business is to picture a beautiful swan that looks so calm on the surface of the water, but underneath, they're absolutely flapping. The system they use are very outdated, they still rely on one guy to generate every single quote manually and if you dare to challenge this to educate easier ways to work, then you will be shot down very quickly! For me to place an order in this day and age, you would assume this would take seconds to input an order into the system, however, here it requires at least 15 minutes to input things in a certain way, the reason people don't want to improve this process is "we've always done it this way" and the individuals who are responsible for this are the ones preventing the business from moving forward. At interview stage, you are told they offer flexibility and support, they encourage change and are very forward thinking, however, this once you get through the door you need to be in the office 5 days a week, working from 06:00am - 8:00pm every day because others do this. The people who are doing these hours are the ones who are stomping around all day, sticking their nose in other peoples business, then have the audacity to complain that they "don't have a minute" to get any work done, If you are efficient day to day and get your work complete within the required hours of 08:00am - 5:00pm and go home, this is frowned upon. Also, the business is smart where they allow a 1 hour unpaid lunch. to most people this is too long and you don't need an hour in the middle of the day to warm some food up and eat. They won't allow you to reduce this to 30 minutes and leave earlier as the standard hours required are 08:00am - 5:00pm. This obviously means anyone who doesn't want to take a full hour, work more than they should do, but you won't be rewarded or thought any better for doing this, so my advice is to take the 1 hour! Some horrible human beings in the "Senior Leadership Team" who only care about themselves. Also, the Marketing Manager seems to think that she runs the business for some reason.
