Senior Management is not good and specifically to claims, does not know how to manage claims and does not know the basics, like the litigation process, reserving, etc. Fortunately they have good unit managers who make the decisions and Senior Management just follows. It is really quite shocking. PMIC is also behind other carriers in bringing new product to market. Others are usually a year or even 2 ahead of PMIC even thinking of adding on.
