The Field Representative position is a 1099, commission only position. They claim it is a 6 figure position but after 30% self employment tax, you are lucky to make minimum wage. Although they boast that high performing reps sell around 100 roofs per year, in actuality, that number is closer to 50. You are also required to cover expenses out of pocket such as fuel, liability insurance, worker's comp insurance, etc. After all this is added up, you will make less than a minimum wage on salary while still working 60-70 hours per week. There would be potential for higher income but there is more holding you back The company misclassifies their reps as 1099 employees while you are treated and required to work as a W2 employee. I was mandated to work specific hours, specific locations, perform work that was unpaid for, attend unpaid meetings, attend unpaid events, and other work that was not specifically in my subcontractor contract, on a regular basis. You are also restricted as to what you can sell. The company only installs asphalt shingles under insurance claims, nothing else. They DO NOT install tile, metal, low slope, or gutters. They don't install siding, fascia, or soffit. They don't install skylights, solar tubes, or solar. This leaves a huge competitive advantage to the competition and severely restricts your ability to sell the company. As for the company future, this looks meek. They currently require insurance on their 1099 employees however, I never met a rep that actually carried the required insurance. They discount insurance claims through a paid referral process. This discounting can be seen on Google reviews where customers leave job numbers in their reviews to receive cash rebates. They also misclassify employees as 1099. These legal and ethical issues are a huge concern and liability. I doubt they make it much further when something as simple as an IRS audit could put them out of business for good. I would not recommend working for this company and am currently seeking employment elsewhere.

Our Field Representatives are 1099 sales contractors as is presented from the initial interview. This is the industry norm due to the outside sales nature of the role. Additionally, our top performers in each season’s sales class do in fact earn six figures. In 2019, our top salesperson in your branch, who had never sold roofs before, secured $144,000 from six months of work. Using surveys of our sales contractors, we know that our average salesperson sells a roof every 4.5 hours of prospecting. When you account for all work that goes into each deal, our sales reps typically earn the equivalent of between $90 and $130 an hour. We do not mandate, track hours or require attendance to meetings, we focus on performance and provide suggestions to help guide team members to achieve their desired level of success. I am sure that Premier Team members reached out to you in an attempt to help improve your performance by wanting to meet with you and help sell with you in the field as we are a teammate focused organization. If this help was viewed as an imposition or perceived as a requirement that speaks to why things did not work out in sales for you. Furthermore, Premier is the largest roofing restoration company in the nation, installing over 21,000 roofs in 15 years. Our specialization and focus on the more important trade associated with hail damage insurance claims have resulted in huge benefits to our customers and teammates over the years. As an organization with both hundreds of employees and sales contractors, we have been audited by the IRS and DOL at various points and have been given clear approval of all our business practices. Regarding our outlook, we have averaged a growth rate of 30% a year and are continuing to expand geographically with new offices and by obtaining more market share in our existing markets. What makes this even more special is that this growth is driven by the advancement of our teammates into leadership roles that allow us to grow our sales force organically.
