Vantaggi
Options for teachers to work from home. Flexible scheduling.
Svantaggi
1. Perfunctory hiring process that takes little into consideration when setting pay rates for teachers. 2. Perfunctory review process that accounts for very little as far as the teacher's actual performance with students, awarding nominal raises that don not even keep up with inflation (see below) 3. Insultingly small raises that are drastically outpaced by inflation (approximately 2 to 2.5% raise on hourly rates for teachers that are about $18 to $19 an hour for experienced and highly qualified teachers). 4. Pay caps for teachers, but not for administration (again, keeping in mind that 'teaching' is the primary purpose of PrepNow, not administration). 5. Drastic pay disparity between teachers who are providing nearly all valuable services of PrepNow and the administration, which largely operates as an unnecessary middleman between the student and teacher. 6. Opaque policies in informing parents of how their money is being spent; most parent think that their money is mostly going to the teachers and thus have unreasonable expectation for tutors that are actually paid, on average, between $17 and $19 an hour rather than c. $90 an hour - a typical rate for PrepNow tutoring. Teachers at PrepNow make approximately 20% or less of total earning from the labor done by the teacher, the rest going to administrative oversight (and a tiny, tiny fraction to educational materials distributed to the student).
