Svantaggi
Training? What's that? They'll expect you to know certain products but won't spend the money to train you on that. Why? Maybe you haven't been utilized because you don't have competency on that product. It's a vicious cycle that management seems to not get nor will they try to break. One VAR I worked for spent thousands on training me, this company expects you to use free training that is usually outdated and not really deep. Procedures are not consistent. Sure there are efforts made to change but they're still using spreadsheets and an archaic version of Sharepoint for pricing rather than using cloud based solutions like SalesForce. Kinda scary as they want to help lead customers to the cloud when they really don't use cloud services themselves. Smaller VARs eating their lunch in most markets because they're more nimble and in some cases, probably have former Presidio employees working for them now. Marketing is near non existant as it seems they want vendors to pay for everything rather than spend a little money to make money. Good ol boy club. If you're not in certain inner circles, expect to be ignored. Everyone seems to be out for themselves than actually be a team. I've worked for VARs in the past where everyone is remote but you still had contact with team members including your boss on a weekly basis outside some mandatory meeting. It's like ships passing in the night. There's really no sense of culture here at all.
