Vantaggi
You won't find a better game company to work for in Paris. Pretty Simple is a good size company, not too small, not too big. There were about 75 employees when I worked there, and you can remember everyone's name and face. People genuinely care about helping each other, and you can make lots of friends. The company has already created hit games, so you don't have to worry about job security. But they are still privately owned, so the work culture is very employee-focused. You won't be crunching out project after project just to make money. Each game is developed by a small team. You are not just a number. You will be rewarded for your work and given room for creativity. You won't find find this same kind of happiness at big companies like Ubisoft, Gameloft, or Blizzard. I moved to France from overseas, and they provided relocation assistance, including finding an apartment. The company also provides free French lessons if you would like to learn the language - and you should. Also, the office is amazing. It has been renovated from a classic French building, but with a very modern interior. Look up some photos on the internet to see how nice it is. There is a free gym/workout room, showers and lockers, game room with consoles and arcades, large kitchen, and an amazing rooftop for eating lunch or hosting events with a 360 degree view of the city. This kind of work environment really makes you feel good about coming in every morning. If you want to work in the games industry, and you want to live in Paris, I can't recommend a better company.
Svantaggi
Please know you will be required to work hard and do your best at all times. Management has no room for slackers. If you don't give 100% you won't make it past your trial period. This is not a real con, but you need to be aware of your ability and work ethic. Pretty Simple only wants the best people, and the best people make the best games. If you think you have what it takes, please apply.
