Honest company and does the right thing for its customers. Possibility to advance quickly. Commission is decent when you reach RVP and above. Decent life insurance and investment products. Exposure to the good and bad of Insurance and Investment world. Judgment free offices. Company understands compound interest and power of saving. Believe in future agents will be allowed to sell health insurance in compliance with ACA. Fiscally responsible company with decent financials from IPO to present. Minimal overhead for maintaining business. Potential for residual income.

The brand has terrible reviews all across web and throughout the industry. Corporate structure on the surface is "pyramid" "multi level marketing". Those factors alone drive away 90% of potential business and agents. No advertising, strictly a referral business so lead generation is extremely difficult. Referrals are hard to come by, because your clients have no empirical evidence of the products working or not(life insurance a death needs to occur, investments the ROI isn't always immediately realized in short term). Hold a 4 year B.S. in Economics and by the time I was fully licensed and spent time at the branch office or even made a sale, I was by far the most knowledgeable on Insurance products, Investments, etc. No standard as far as onboarding, quotas, production. Paves the way for ton of complacency and meaningless awards and gratification. Speaking for myself, lost touch with a lot friends, family, colleagues and a lot of my network defending Primerica and pushing its values on those individuals. To be successful its more about bringing in new agents, getting them licensed, using their network, and then teaching them to do the same thing. Individuals who are up for that task it'd make more sense to join an established mlm. If finance and insurance is your gig it'd make more sense to join a firm with resources or start your own practice as a franchise. Often talk bad about competing companies in industry as if they caused 2008 downturn or pick out one instance a company may have made a mistake and accuse every member of that company of that misstep. Target underemployed, blue collar families and individuals for clients and their workforce. Vetting process is weak, they just require you to pay for background check for $99 and as long as you don't have any felonies you're hired. Personality wasn't taken into consideration at all. Offices between different RVP's are awkward. The weekly training meetings are generally the same, depending on which event is coming up. The events reminded of vacation bible school just substitute any SNSD or higher up with Jesus. I received every award possible at the 2 events I went to without ever feeling like I sold very many policies or rolled over very much. I'd occasionally see rude customers from when I worked retail in college at these events. Networking within the industry wont happen for many sorts of reasons. Primerica to me often thought of themselves as a Godsend to financial industry and would draw and outline comparisons from Bible. As a company that relies heavily on referrals and networking it is shocking how many people don't use LinkedIn. Culture is very Dave Ramsey, Joel Osteen, Anthony Robbins type of environment. No clear mission or direction. Opportunity within company to move up the ladder is always beneficial to your hierarchy even if they are completely clueless.

Mislead by being told about they have leads for you and that you will educate people about life insurance and other services. They are focused on recruiting.
