I am coming up on two years at ProAssurance and couldn't be happier. I appreciate working for a stable company that is doing great things. I'm treated like a whole human whose unique experiences and perspectives are valued. I am challenged and have realistic goals that I enthusiastically work towards every day. My needs outside of my daily works tasks are also being met. I have the opportunity to build relationships through our Team Member Engagement Groups, to get involved with the community through volunteering during work hours and best of all the balance and integration of my work and personal life has never been better. Every day, I feel fortunate to call ProAssurance home! I'm excited about who we are, where we are and where we are going!!

While compensation is fair, it tends to be in the mid range when starting with the company. However, I truly appreciate the company's thoughtful approach to compensation sustainability, internal equity, and its transparency around pay. Additionally, we receive yearly raises and bonuses, which serve as great motivation to meet the company's expectations and goals.

They have decent pay, if you're willing to fight for it and good PTO.

It's a fight to get good pay if you're a long-time employee. It's easier as a new hire to start off with good pay than it is for existing employees to be compensated for their value & worth to the company. Too many layers of management and unsupportive to the lower level employees. Too many required meetings that could have been an email. With many employees working remote we have several touch base meetings each week/month. I believe this is just so we can get together. But many of these meetings really don't need to happen and could easily just be an email or wrapped up in 15-20 minutes, instead of filled with inconsequential items just to fill the hour. This is especially frustrating when meetings are scheduled during the lunchtime portion of the day.
