Vantaggi

Office is centrally located within the city (with no parking). Good pantry service.

Svantaggi

Crazy leave policy with working saturdays (two saturdays off). Have anybody heard of Festival holiday in a leave policy? Management expects employees to work on holidays (but optional). Poor pay and appraisal policy. Management considers10% appraisal is for the top performer. Bad ethics. Their list-building product is built over a concept on a illegal use of commercially available search engines, like google, bing, etc. Example, I was tasked to find a way to override the google captcha block to extract google search results using a software bot. Management does not care on retain employee. Check their PF employee list, very high attrition rate. Typically, employees stay here for maximum of 2yrs and move on.

Svantaggi

Company is 28 years old but internally feels like a 2 year old startup. No proper processes at all. Communication is purely on WhatsApp and private mail. No Teams, no Slack, no proper project management tool. All deadlines are communicated verbally only. Nothing in writing. This creates so much confusion and later when things go wrong, there is no paper trail. Deadlines are completely unrealistic. Was given end-to-end application to build in 4 working days(Involved Back and Front End and Testing with each test approx a couple of hours, due to the requirement). Any developer will tell you this is not possible with proper testing and documentation. When you cannot deliver, management says "need more effort" - by which they mean work extra hours without any overtime or comp off. There is no overtime policy. No comp off policy. You are expected to sit 1-2 hours extra daily during crunch time with zero compensation. For a company that is almost 3 decades old, this is shocking. WFH policy exists but gets revoked on very short notice whenever management feels like it. No standard notice period for schedule changes. You plan your day and suddenly get told to come to office. No QA team, no UX designer. Developers are expected to test their own code, design their own interfaces, and deliver everything. This leads to quality issues and burnout. Probation period is introduced suddenly after joining with no mention of it in the Offer. Probation period is used to set unrealistic expectations. "Extra effort" culture gets established during probation and then becomes permanent expectation. Basically their flow is like this: Hire by saying terms like Hybrid work policy, Flexible timings etc. But when you enter, all those would be held against you. Then come the unreasonable deadlines for each and every task, which will be held against you quoting dull performance. Then comes this probation out of nowhere risking termination and then finally comes termination within a few months of joining. This is purely for their temporary requirements, that they hire and once it is done, they will quote poor performance and terminate you in a matter of 10 minutes. For such places, even if you document everyday, you won't have a chance to prove it. And probation termination is virtually impossible to fight. Management uses this loophole to abuse the workforce. ADVICE TO JOB SEEKERS: Company is stable and pays on time which is better than many small companies. But if you value work life balance or proper processes, look elsewhere. Clarify ALL policies in writing before joining. Ask specifically about overtime, comp off, WFH notice period, and deadline setting process. P. S. DON'T Trust the old reviews. They are from times where the company was better. A lot has changed recently and lots of restructuring, thus more risk of out of the blue layoff.
