Sometimes it can be intimidating.

The people you work with are generally great people. WFH Mondays and Fridays was nice too. One mid-level manager genuinely cares about his employees, but unfortunately that's about it.

Everyone is replaceable and turnover is ridiculously high. The current CEO earned his position through nepotism, and his lack of experience shows. The management team needed to be replaced years ago, unfortunately the path chosen was just to continually backfill for all the turnover instead of investigating the true root cause. The decision to temporarily cut everyone's salaries 20-30% a year ago was probably the death-knell for the company, although it'll linger on for a few years.
