Current focus is not on customer value, but investor value. In-group/out-group politics are a constant. Don't expect to be taken seriously, or move up in your career, if you're not part of the in-group. New CTO resulted in the departure of most all of the existing engineering and product teams. Responses to previous reviews mentioning the CTO are representative of how he, and his in-group, are beyond questioning as far as HR and management are concerned, despite claims that they care or listen, or the numerous departures that came as a result.
