      You will meet some of the most caring and compassionate coworkers. Most of the employees love what they do and truly care for their clients.

      Micromanaging from management can create a toxic work environment. Little consideration for employees time and life outside of PSS. Employees are expected to "volunteer" for events every few months. These events tend to run late and employees are not compensated for this. If you do not attend these events be prepared to get seriously reprimanded. There is an overwhelming fear of being reprimanded for every little thing. Supervisors are often too busy to answer questions but expect you to know how to do everything without any guidance.

      the families I worked with were absolutely amazing and made it worth it to tolerate the rest!

      Absolutely unreasonable expectations, supervisors are unnecessarily mean, and you will never get it right, no matter what you do. You will be criticized for talking to coworkers. You will question your sanity at times. Insane micromanagement but also somehow no help with anything at the same time. The work itself was an absolute joy, but do yourself and your mental health a favor and find another organization to be a home visitor out of— it's not worth it
