Vantaggi
-The company has been very supportive during the pandemic. They implemented remote work from March 2020, and I always felt they cared about our health. They even got blue light glasses for everyone. -You'll find a lot of interesting and sociable people who you can become friends with. There isn't any kind of toxic, unhealthy competition among team members like in other places. -Schedules are very flexible. -You're given a workload and everyone in the team gets to choose the tasks they want to do. If there's a day you're less productive for any reason, it's totally fine. -You get to learn a lot about health-related topics and products, which can be very useful for your personal life. There's even an in-house pharmacist who you can talk to, and who is always super helpful. -I never felt micromanaged or pressured with deadlines. -Ideas are welcome.
Svantaggi
-Some tasks can be very repetitive and boring. -No career plan. I'd rather say it's a place to start. -You have monthly one-to-one meetings with your line manager. However, any kind of change will always take time, or won't happen at all. -High staff turnover, they don't try to keep or motivate valuable employees. -No internal promotion. Even when better vacancies appear, hiring external people is often preferred. -There are a few inexperienced managers who could show more empathy towards their subordinates. -Engineering teams get a special treatment and much better perks, sometimes even superior to management. -Salaries are very low for the industry and Barcelona cost of living. -You get a Windows or a Mac computer depending on your position and seniority, which isn't quite fair. -CEOs and upper management are quite disconnected from the rest of employees, there isn't a communication with them, and it even feels like it's better that you don't talk to them at all.
