Vantaggi

Always work on different projects. Everyone is willing to help or will guide you in the right direction. The company's goal is to not get you to work in the office, but at actual client's sites (usually manufacturing companies). Usually travel expenses are covered fairly. Most of all, A LOT to learn even if you are an amazing programmer. I learned a lot about the business side of manufacturing.

Svantaggi

I started of as an intern and I struggled a lot and had a lot of questions. I like to tell others they like to "throw you in the water and see if you can learn to swim on your own". Barely any training and I had to do a lot of research on my own. Sometimes they expect you to know a lot about business logic, but I've never taken a business class in my life.

Thank you for the feedback. Software Developers are told in advance that they will be working in new languages that they have never been introduced to before, and that they will be researching fixes to what they are stumped by prior to asking for help. They are also informed to not sit in agony for an extended period of time without asking for help. All of our team members work in open offices, easily able to see each other, so no one is isolated on an island by themselves.

Vantaggi

Being employed by Pronto Progress allows you to gain a lot of practical and real world experience working alongside very talented software developers and other staff. As an intern, I found the environment to be very rewarding in terms of pushing me out of my comfort zone and allowing me to exercise my initiative and communication skills for tasks that I needed to complete. Hunter Kingsley, the President and CEO of the company, is very passionate about his work and holds high standards for his employees. This to me was a pivotal part of working for Pronto Progress as it emphasized the importance of working hard to achieve common goals. If you work hard, communicate efficiently and are not afraid to make mistakes and fix them accordingly, then you will be VERY successful at Pronto Progress.

Svantaggi

It is a very fast-paced environment with new work constantly appearing. If you are someone who cannot function in a fast paced environment or handle multiple tasks at once, this might not be the job for you. However, the CEO emphasizes the importance of asking questions and reaching out for help if need be. This is definitely an exciting job that will always keep you on your feet.

Vantaggi

1) accelerate your knowledge base and trouble shooting skills 2) Learn how to communicate in an EXACT manner 3) Develop ability to write down / remember EXACT details for coding assignments while mentioned in casual conversation 4) Learn the skill set of a full stack developer

Svantaggi

1) Management - "President Emeritus" (Tim Proksch, a.k.a. Hunter T. Kingsley) is the largest and only reason for placing this as number one. During my time there I was belittled, swore at and blames for mistakes that were made by mister Emeritus himself. 2) WorkLife - if your working on a standard client project you will have this, but if you are doing on anything near Mr Emeritus or if he has a random one off task for you THERE IS NO SUCH THING. He will message you anytime he wishes / will call you before work / after work or even during. (to the office phone and then complain at you when you didn't say the proper greeting even though you can clearly see he is the one calling) 3) Time off - Company has some drastically low time off and it will be about 5 years before you get anything close to the industry standard. 4) This job will make you question if this is the life for you - working this job made me think that I made a mistake, that I had picked the wrong major but I can almost guarantee you that it's not the work... Its the job. It's Mr. Emeritus
