- you have to go through a ten-document trial period, and if you do great on most of those documents, they'll keep you. This can be stressful, but I was successful with it. - the pay isn't so great at first, but if you do good, you'll be offered higher-paying gigs - work isn't always available. You have to constantly hit the refresh button hoping for a document to appear, so some days can feel like a waste - you'll get feedback after proofreading every document, and it can be harsh and discouraging. Luckily, this hasn't been the case with me. - the company has very high standards, and either you have the aptitude for proofreading or you don't. If you aren't committed to working hard or able to accept critique, Proofed is probably not for you.

There are no pros here

Do not pay for "guaranteed work" no matter how desperate you are for experience, etc. I got to the "guaranteed work" phase, and it is a joke. Unless an entire week's worth of work (with TONS of additional unpaid training, after the paid-for-by-you training) for a grand total of $8 appeals to you.
