Vantaggi
Work can be interesting and intellectually stimulating depending on partner and team Hours are manageable
Svantaggi
Less pay compared to other consulting firms Casework can be overly “fuzzy” and “soft” compared to work at other consulting firms due to lack of technical knowledge and experience among case teams (ie over reliance on buzz words and conceptual frameworks as opposed to analytical and process oriented solutions). Leads to a lack of proper technical training and exposure compared to other workplaces. Firm vibe can feel overwhelming with its homogenous “hurrah hurrah” culture. Communications/posts from leadership on social/race issues often feels forced, non genuine and commoditized, especially since most of the communications comes from a non-diverse senior leadership group. Employees (especially associates/SAs) can feel indirectly pressured to participate in extracurriculars/firm pursuits in order to get better reviews, and eventually end up shouldering large loads of business development that should be handled more from more senior level employees/corp teams. Seems like employees who have their social lives integrated with Prophet folks are generally seen more positively/favored. Experience and case allocation is highly dependent on who you know, and seems increasingly that interesting and innovative work has become rarer
