Vantaggi
PullRequest is helmed by a strong management team made up of industry professionals; guys who really know what they're doing. Lyal, the CEO, ensures that he's engaged in the day to day business, and handpicks his team; a man that knows what he wants and how to achieve it. The folks here have a work ethic second to none, and I'm proud to be able to say I not only worked here, but that I'd do so again in a heartbeat if things ever came back that way.
The gender shenanigans we all too often see at Silicon Valley startups had no place here; I was their first female employee, their 8th employee overall when hired, and was not relegated to the lower rungs like a woman in tech might be at so many other places. Lyal and the team pick the right people for the right job, regardless of who they are. Hiring is transparent and open, and that continues to hold true once you work for them.
There's no mindgames, nor shenanigans here; everyone is open, transparent, and honest. They're all dedicated to the company vision, and that's impressive, especially for a team this small. If you get your foot in the door here, it's because you deserve to be there. You've proven yourself, and you belong.
I definitely believe this company has a strong future ahead, as long as this doesn't change.
I mean, it doesn't hurt that they have a fantastic product either. One that I predict will see massive adoption in the tech world in the next few years.
Svantaggi
It's in Austin, and remote work is not an option currently. This may change in the future once they grow.
Texas is HOT. Miserably so.
(But if that's the worst thing I can say....I mean...that says a lot right there!)
