Feels like anyone’s over 40 is on the chopping block first—no matter how much experience or institutional knowledge they bring. Leadership’s all about injecting “fresh energy” and “new blood,” which apparently translates to preferring cheaper, younger hires who’ll grind endless hours for stock options and hype. One exec was overheard pushing for “young, dynamic talent” to “modernize” things… guess us seasoned folks are just too “adaptive” in the wrong direction. It’s like watching a bad reboot: heartless cost-cutting disguised as innovation, with waves of departures leaving morale in the gutter. If you’re under 35 and love uncertainty, this is your jam. Otherwise, polish that resume—your AARP card might as well be a pink slip.
