Terrible raises - no raises for most in 5 of the last 7 years and no bonuses for 3 of those years to boot - all due to poor company results. Constantly change in management from the top down. In 7 years, I've had 3 CEO's, 4-5 Divisional bosses and 3-4 departmental managers. Constant changes in strategy, so no one knows what we like to do - internally or externally. Huge employee turnover - almost 100% in P&C area in less than 5 years. Average length of service is 2-3 years and then people get fed up and leave. Outsourcing of services is getting ridiculous - bad services and easier to do many jobs yourself. Huge cost reduction initiatives, but meanwhile corporate drops tons of money on high priced sponsorship's and celebrity appearances at company events. And between all the folks quitting and the constant layoffs, it's no wonder there are so many openings and a lack of people who want to join the sinking ship. Most additions are just retreads from other companies. Promotions (and keeping your job) is based on who you know and who likes you vs. true performance.
