Can't think of anything good about this company. They have the first-mover advantage in Singapore's ecommerce landscape. But I am not sure if this advantage will last with other contenders like Lazada and Rakuten.

Everything here is bad. Extremely low morale in the company. The management team is filled with Koreans from Korea headquarters, and they are very secretive about their plans for the company, holding team leaders-only meetings frequently without engaging staff, the real foot soldiers. As a result, what you hear and understand is only and always second-hand information, frequently misinterpreted as the management team do not say no to their dear CEO. In an environment whereby everyone is trying to get out, and this is not a launchpad to better places, by the way, morale is extremely low. The system is outdated, without any revamp in sight. Not sure how this company is going to remain as the market leader by being arrogant, ignoring competition, and not cultivate a better working environment. First mover advantage will erode in a matter of time. For prospective employees, do not be taken in by HR's honeyed words. 1) Long working hours: 9 - 7pm. I understand that OT is expected in every place, but the reasons for not leaving on time are stupid. Most of the time, it is because of last minute changes due to miscommunication or lack of proper planning. You can have nothing to do for the entire morning, and work starts coming in at 2pm. Waste of time. 2) Lack of staff benefits. One of the lowest paying company in this industry. No AWS, no performance bonus, and your bonus when there is good sales is paid in Qcash (Qoo10 account money that cannot be withdrawn). No OT pay, with $12 dinner allowance that is CPF deductible, meaning $10 for work until 9pm. 3) No prospects. Unless you are a Korean, say goodbye to any chances of getting promoted to management team. The company adopts a points system for salary increment and promotion, but you don't even know how many points you have! There is no transparency in the awarding of points, you don't even know how many points you are awarded at the end of every month unless you approach HR 4) No challenges at the job. The management discuss every single issue in secret, be it a directional change, mega sale event, or even reallocation of resources. Your job is to implement blindly, and you do not get to participate in strategic discussions - no space for development or creative exchange of ideas. This is a place to stagnate in your career.
