Svantaggi

Unfortunately my experience at Qualtrics is not unique. By the time I left it had become the most toxic environment for me to be in. Recruitment: Be sure to do your own research on job titles at Qualtrics. Reach out to someone on LinkedIn to find out what the job description really is. Recruitment doesn't know the day to day details of your job and a lot of the time you get sold on a job that you didn't sign up for. Onboarding: This process can be really intimidating especially when you are being hired on with another 20 employees and nothing is organized. In research services your job is to work with "existing clients". There is a finite pool of those companies and a growing number of AE's. As a result you spend most of your time looking for existing clients that do not already belong to another Research Services Rep. Towards the end of your training/onboarding you should receive a book of business. Notice I say should... You may receive this anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months later than you are promised and it is likely that the accounts in your book are unworkable (no longer have a license, are a single user account, etc.). Even though your book of business may not be accurate (if you have received one at all) you are still expected to hit your quota (either $10K, $30K, or $50K depending on when you promote to a PR1). Promotion: In this role you will be assigned to a team which will be lead by a team lead. Some team leads are great, provide great training, and have great experience for you to learn from. Those are few and far between. For most managers (team leads) this is their first time managing and the fact that there is no HR department really is a recipe for disaster. This company has over 1,500 employees and no HR department... that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. I have heard everything from people being personally insulted by managers to cases of sexual harassment. Watch out. Culture: Honestly, the culture can be toxic. You will hear managers and their bosses publicly denouncing people for leaving the company. Also, if you plan on leaving do NOT put in your two weeks. Tell them that you are quitting on your last day. Multiple people have been asked to leave (even escorted out) when they have done the courteous thing and given management two weeks or more to make a transition. Managers forget that they should be working for their team. You will hear most people talking about looking for other job opportunities within your first month of work there. There are also individuals there who love to gossip. Operations: .....are a mess. In my opinion the company is trying to grow as fast as it can (IPO on the mind) and your personal success as a sales rep is not a priority. If they need to hire 50 new people to meet their numbers they will and if that hurts the existing employees because there are not enough accounts to go around then that's too bad.

Vantaggi

Great benefits and resources available for their employees. In-office perks include catered lunches 3 days a week, 2 days with grub-hub credits, and free snacks and coffee daily; alongside office events and parties. There is a generally positive culture amongst the overall company.

Svantaggi

Their actual company leadership does not always make the best decisions and rather than prioritizing root cause issues that impact both the customers and employees' daily work, they would rather prioritize shinier items that give the illusion of innovation. This will trickle down to the employees in the form of stressed deadlines, longer hours, and frustrated clients and/or frustrated teams you may work cross functionally with that are client facing. Your actual experience at qualtrics is largely based on what team/job function you are in and who your manager is. Additionally, there is a glaring diversity issue that remains unaddressed with no real effort to hire more underrepresented people of color, leading to the high turnover rate of underrepresented minorities who are not lucky enough to have great managers.
