The company does a great job at hiring high level developers, engineers, and project managers. Working with and learning from these people will be the highlight of the day.

Goals and instructions for any task and project are too often unclear. Performance reviews seem to be arbitrary and don't hold much weight until it's too late to correct anything. There's a lot of micromanagement at the company due to the many tiers of management present. You will find yourself working on a project that you yourself will be chasing the requirements for, and if you get them wrong, it will be your fault. Overall, I don't really see where this company is going. No new customers seem to be coming in and management doesn't seem to know how to adapt the product they do have to something others outside of the StateFarm family would want.
