The only downside is the extreme working conditions in the summer--not for the weak. This is less of a company problem and more of an industry problem, though.

Stable work for archaeology and decent per diem

Only cares about management. Anyone that’s below APM is seen as disposable. Loyalty means nothing and they will pull the rug out from under you without warning
