Mass layoffs are pretty rare and the most recent site closure provided employees options for staying within the company. Hybrid work environment for knowledge workers. A lot of travel (if you like travel).

Low pay and benefits. You start at 1 week of PTO, and it doesn't increase until after your 5th year. No sick time. Stressful work-life balance with a lot of short notice travel and 24/7/365 on-call expectations. Limited potential for progression within the company due to long tenures and mismanagement. Budget is wasteful and used toward unnecessary hard assets over people. Bureaucracy often used as an excuse instead of just getting things done. You will be fired upon giving your two weeks notice.
