Unfortunately, the cons of working here far outweigh the benefits. The company struggles with a lack of accountability, as employees often push work onto others and fail to respond in a timely manner, especially in a remote environment. Management frequently makes promises about training and career growth but does not follow through. There’s a toxic ‘family’ mentality among employees, with some doing minimal work yet making the most 'noise' during company meetings. Team leads fail to update critical documentation and tend to gate-keep information, contributing to confusion and inefficiency. Additionally, the company hires individuals without relevant background knowledge and depends on more skilled employees to compensate and keep the company afloat. The lack of clearly defined job responsibilities leads to work being pushed down to lower-ranking employees. From discussions with fellow employees- the company not only underpays, but also has SIGNIFICANT pay gaps between employees in the same position, and I would personally advise everyone to discuss their pay with their immediate coworkers for transparency. Management will chat and speak negatively about employees, only to later turn around and offer praise, creating an atmosphere of inconsistency and distrust. There’s also a growing concern about the company’s future, as the owner frequently claims the company is a ‘family’ and that no one will be left behind, yet the shift in social media presence, tone, and branding suggests he may be preparing to sell the company. I encourage employees to be cautious of this potential change and its impact.

It's not "perfect on paper" by any means, but I actually consider that a strength. Leadership is open about what hasn't worked and is actively working to improve things. Rob (President) is transparent, self-aware, approachable, and leads by example. The culture is truly unique. People collaborate, help each other, and genuinely enjoy working together. Drama is minimal and NO ONE takes them self too seriously. R3 is very intentional about protecting its culture. Seriously, some of the best people here. Overall, the organization is real and honest--progress is real, growth is happening, and effort is being made every day to make things better.

Some of the organizational structure is still being built. Clear processes and long-term efficiencies are actively being worked on but aren't fully in place yet. Communication isn't perfect, but it's improving as feedback is incorporated and changes continue to be implemented.

Getting to work with my coworkers.

The CEO frequently speaks about “growth” and improving departments for the better. However, the engineer who actively pushed for meaningful change, advocated for a healthier work environment, and worked to improve company culture was ultimately let go. Every concern he had was not empty. It was paired with a solution — not just ideas, but proven approaches that have worked extremely well. He even had a one-on-one meeting with upper management who acknowledged and heavily agreed to his ideas and his promise for a better work environment. A few weeks later, he was unexpectedly fired. employees are encouraged to speak up at R3 , but those who do face consequences, if it does not align with the company. it sends a clear message. That is not the kind of environment many professionals and my self want to be part of. My experience showed me that this“R3 Family” that they constantly try to push does not align with how concerns are handled. What was presented as a “better” MSP ultimately proved to be far more disappointing. Without alignment between leadership messaging and action, it will be difficult for R3 to compete with its competitors at a higher level.
