Honestly - it's not cold calling, it's calling existing customers who haven't yet renewed their breakdown cover. Really not that scarey. Pay is extremely good for a job that requires no formal qualifications and bonuses are achievable. Overtime regularly available at extremely good hourly rates. Fantastic benefits scheme which includes salary sacrifice pension. Fantastic subsidised canteen serving food cooked fresh on site at a really good price point. Free coffee machines. Call centre work is not for the overly-sensitive - do not take customer complaints to heart, they are shouting at their frustration with the company, not with you! Not a great deal of room for promotion due to the nature of a call centre (many operators, few managers) - but plenty of opportunity to move across to different teams to work on different projects.
