Great building, the location is good if you live in CT. Work-life balance could be good depending on your manager.

The review is only for the Finance department within RBS. The department is Unprofessionalism at its best. You have employees backstabbing each other, pushing each other under the bus. The management plays obvious favoritism to promote/reward the kiss-ups who have no qualifications nor the ability to perform the basic work. The tiny group of the true talented people is carrying the entire weight for the group but not getting rewarded or even recognized. As a result, the good people left and the same old unqualified group continue to do the work without the necessary knowledge and make tons of mistakes. There is no way to voice your concerns/opinions. The management has 'shown' their concern for peoples' issues by organizing meetings, but there is never any actions on anything. No one cares about your career path, the direction is if you are a kissup and they like you, then you have a great career path no matter what you did or didn't do. And watch out if you try to bring up your concerns to the senior managers, if it is something they don't like to hear (eg. unfair treatment), they will make things very very ugly for you. The interview screening process is done very poorly, untalented people are brought into the group as managers. It makes the environment worse as there is no strong leaders for the team to learn and follow.
