Senior leadership team is a club for long service employees with little idea how to run an organisation. All work is pushed to middle management with insufficient resources, and the middle management team are overloaded and exhausted yet the leadership team do nothing about it. Despite supposed short hours culture/contract (key “benefit” is our 33.75hour working week, ha!) most managers are working 40+ hours per week and still cannot keep on top of the workload. Insufficient investment over many years in systems and teams doing the core work means the organisation is now at breaking point and cannot deliver to the profession it serves.
