As we go through a period of unprecedented change at RICS in response to the challenges brought by COVID-19, and as part of our goal to become a fit-for-purpose 21st century professional body, we recognise the need for culture change. We are moving towards a high support/high challenge culture, where setting stretching and clear objectives becomes the norm while offering coaching and feedback to all employees to ensure they can achieve their best work. We are reviewing our incentive and reward plan and at the same time we are investing in a management capability programme “Managing with Purpose” in order to support managers in carrying out their role. The programme focuses on key skills and effective empathetic leadership. We welcome all feedback as we endeavour to modernise the organisation and create a culture that is fully supportive whilst remaining challenging and rewarding for all.
