Vantaggi

Experienced and friendly staff Challenging variety of work Opportunity to work abroad Flexible working

Svantaggi

Lack direction - since the takeover of EdifERA, the company is lacking direction and leadership on the future for the UK business. Integration (or lack of) - UK offices feel like separate companies working under the RINA name. No clear sense of identity. So far, the cross selling of services between UK and Italian offices has been poor. Job security - personnel feel insecure about job prospects. Many staff have left for other companies with no great push for recruitment to compensate for the shortfall. Increasing feeling that RINA do not care about the UK office and further substantiated with cost cutting. Communication - Upper management do not communicate decisions or company performance to staff at lower levels. Pay and benefits - not comparable with other consultancies across the UK. Recent salary reviews were derisory and clear justification was not communicated by upper management. There seems to be a pay disparity across the business with regards to location and even within positions. No set salary bands for each position. Morale - at an all time low. More leavers in the last four months than the last 4 years. Team socials have now been cancelled, very little positives to boost morale. Progression - very little opportunity to move up through the company. This has caused significant staff losses.

Vantaggi

Employees perceived as closely connected to the Italian headquarters and leadership culture appeared to have stronger long-term career stability and internal support.

Svantaggi

In my experience, the company culture felt deeply outdated and heavily driven by hierarchy and micromanagement. Meritocracy was difficult to perceive, and mediocrity often seemed normalized rather than challenged. HR support was among the weakest I have experienced professionally, particularly regarding employee development, communication, and transition management. Compensation was below market standards considering the level of responsibility and workload, while objectives were frequently perceived as unrealistic or structured in a way that made them difficult to achieve. The company promotes strong corporate values publicly, but there was often a noticeable gap between those values and day-to-day internal practices. Professional growth, innovation, and continuous learning did not appear to be genuine priorities. Employees who worked hard and delivered results did not always feel recognized appropriately, while cultural and nationality alignment with the Italian headquarters appeared, at times, to carry disproportionate weight in career progression and internal support.
